This year, as with most years, Easter was cold and rainy. So, we hid plastic eggs inside (so as not to get egg dye all over my aunt's lovely white carpet) and Satchel loved the game of looking for the eggs. She loved it so much so that we have continued to play it all week at home. We also hide little plastic chicks and little cookies in the eggs to make it even more exciting! If you are like Satchel a tiny cookie or plastic puff ball chickie is pretty darn exciting.
Um, is this an Easter basket full of socks? It must be from Grandma.

Notice that Satchel is wearing tights for the very first time. When I put them on her Easter morning, she threw herself on the floor and cried face down for several minutes before deciding that they weren't too bad.
